HTRBA Baseball Launches Every Child May Play Legacy Program to Support Local Families
Hamilton Township community rallies to ensure every child can play baseball.
December 2, 2025, Hamilton Township, NJ – Hamilton Township Recreational Baseball Association (HTRBA) announced the launch of its Every Child May Play Legacy Program, an initiative designed to ensure that financial hardship never prevents a young athlete from taking the field.
Rooted in the spirit of the founders who shaped HTRBA in 1960, the program carries forward the original belief that every child deserves the opportunity to play baseball.
The Every Child May Play Legacy Program provides confidential financial assistance to families who qualify. Support may include full or partial registration fees and equipment across all HTRBA baseball divisions, from T-Ball through Majors.
“Youth baseball should be accessible to every child in our community,” said Jay Dugan, President of HTRBA. “Every Child May Play formalizes a commitment HTRBA has upheld since day one. It reinforces the mission that has shaped our league for sixty-five years.”
Families seeking assistance can apply through a simple and secure process available on the HTRBA website.
The Legacy Program is underwritten by local businesses, organizations, and community members who are dedicated to ensuring that every child can experience the friendships and community youth sports offer. Sponsors of the program include SkyZone Hamilton, whose generous donation helped bring the initiative to life. Parties interested in becoming contributors should contact Jay Dugan at [email protected].
Celebrating 65 years since their inaugural season, HTRBA has a long tradition of providing youth recreational baseball for children ages 4 to 12 in Hamilton Township. New for 2026, HTRBA joins the Cal Ripken Baseball League and will continue to offer age-based and skill-matched gameplay, ensuring players are placed in the right environment for growth, development, and healthy competition.
The league’s 2026 season will officially get underway in early spring, with regular-season games beginning in April at Van Horn Park, located off Sloan Avenue in Hamilton Township.
