Scheduled for 3/27 & 4/10

Dear HTRBA Families,

Facility Clean-Up is scheduled for Saturday, 3/27 and Saturday, 4/10, with a rain date of Sunday, 4/11.  Each family must contribute two hours to assist in preparing the park for play.  A sign-in and sign-out sheet will be located in the batting cage.   We will also steer you in the direction of work that needs to be done upon arrival.

We will get started at 9am and wrap up at around 2pm all days.  Come at the time most convenient for you.  If you are willing to help out for longer, it would be greatly appreciated.  In an effort to bring some more color and life to Van Horn Park, please feel free to bring a shrub to plant somewhere in the facility.  For the families with younger players, you might bring a small shrub and watch it grow from year to year with your children.

Please bring weed whackers, leaf blowers, brush clearers or other landscape equipment that you think might be useful.  Work gloves are advisable as well.

Although most work will take place outside, in light of the continuing Covid pandemic, please wear a mask and keep it up when in close proximity to others or indoors.

Last weekend, we had about 20 volunteers, many of whom spent 20+ hours at the park removing sod from A field to convert it to accommodate 50/70 play, adding 75 tons of dirt to A and B fields, and replacing dugout roofing.  This weekend will be about getting everything spruced up and set up.

See you then, and thanks in advance for your help!

Best regards,
-Mark
